Male Gaze
Fashion photography today, more than ever, is flooded with images designed to shock the viewer and reinforce the idea that sex sells. Fashion spreads used to be about the garments, but now, the clothes themselves no longer seem so important. The aesthetic impact created by the photography is more powerful than the items actually selling.
The notion of identity expressed through photographic imagery has always intrigued me. This interest has led me to develop a series of images that contrast women dressed in high-fashion with an environment typically associated to men. These images of strong women provide an alternative to stereotypical depictions that play on the sexualisation and glamorisation of women today. 2012 Digital Photography, Fashion, Photography -

Mannequin
This project was about portraying a model as a real life mannequinn, the model was to show no emotion and have a standard, mass-produced pose that is seen in the everyday fashion mannequin or better yet on the catwalks of fashion shows. A fashion Models job is to wear the clothes and sell them therefore they take the place of a hanger.

Blank Canvas
This series of portraits was inspired by the fashion world and how we often fall into a "Trend", but what makes us more unique? We ourselves are a blank canvas, we are all capable of expressing ourselves. Each model was asked which part of themselves would they like to represent through colour to make them stand out from the crowd rather than blending into the background.

Mass-Production
A project which exaggerates the mass produced world which we live in. The same face has been re-produced but each image differs with the changing colours of eye-shadows and lips.
